Research internship at the Autonomous University of Madrid

From December 10 to 23, 2023, our PhD student MA Hubert Binnebesel completed a research internship at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). Thanks to the hospitality of professor Nurii Castañeda, had the opportunity to visit the prehistoric flint quarries in Pozarrate, La Muela and Montvell, the variscite mines in Gava and the currently researched mining complex in Los Cerros. During the internship, he also became acquainted with materials from the above-mentioned sites, as well as from the most important prehistoric mine researched in Spain - Casa Montero. The internship was financed by funds from the PAST team, as part of IDUB UMK.
